Farhat Khan can stay

Farhat has now been granted refugee status. Thanks to all residents of Cheetham Hill and Manchester who supported her in her campaign for this. Thanks to Farhat for all her work as a volunteer here. She is now able to do paid work again and has started back as our Urdu/Punjabi Advice Worker.

We are a very busy advice centre.

We deal with over 5,000 client contacts a year. We secure more than £600,000 a year for clients through such things as welfare benefit decisions, assisting people to claim benefit, having debts reduced or written off and applying to trusts and charities. We deal with over 500 in depth cases a year. For more information request our annual report.
